South Hamilton kids were very moved by the Stop Bullying, Darn it! session that they attended. They felt they got some great ideas from other students/schools and made a list of thing that they wanted to implement:
1) "Bully box" This is a suggestion box type of thing in which students can report bullying. They also wanted to turn it into a positive thing by being able to report good things they saw at South Hamilton. So, instead of the bully box they are changing the name
The Iowa Student Learning Institute is less than two days away! Again, the conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th from 10-4 at Waukee High School. Here's some info you should know before next Saturday:
The day will kick off promptly at 10 AM in the auditorium. Please plan your arrival at Waukee High School to allow time for check in to receive your t-shirt and name tag.The table will be open starting at 8:30. You do not need any printed tickets from Eventbrite.

The Iowa Student Learning Institute had the privilege to share their expertise in student voice in education with elementary and middle school students of Iowa at the Meet The Experts First Lego League event on October 4th, 2014. The event was hosted at Howe Hall on the campus of Iowa State University. We had the opportunity to mingle with students, parents, and teachers during the career fair formatted event. If you are not familiar, FIRST Lego League asks students to design
