RISE Student Leadership Conference

An innovative education conference, RISE provides a stage to the voice of our students with the support of our educators. This student leadership conference includes a variety of sessions including keynotes from educators and leaders from all over the country and is followed by breakout sessions in the afternoon. We welcome students of all ages throughout Iowa to come and make their voice heard in this annual student education conference.

More Details for RISE

IowaSLI's RISE Student Leadership Conference will take place from 9:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, November 10th. Register now for free. Students, educators, and community members welcome.

Students can do so much more than sit in a desk and receive an education. In Iowa alone, there are 500,000 students that all have the power to change the world. We believe there is no reason  for students to have to wait until they have finished “receiving an education” to do this.

DETAILS

WHAT:

At the 6th annual RISE Student Leadership Conference we are literally asking students to RISE. We ask you to rise from mundane daily routines. Rise from low level thinking. Rise to the expectation of taking action in your local community. We don’t expect students to rise alone and the schedule for the RISE Student Leadership Conference does not allow it. From check-in to walking out, students will be networking with their peers, teachers, and professionals.

WHO:
All of Iowa's students need to be represented: ESL/ELL, students with disabilities, talented and gifted, FFA members, LGBTQ, STEM, Student council, and everyone in between. We want to show Iowa the diversity and inclusiveness of its young people! Gather a delegation from your school today.

WHEN:
Saturday, November 10th, 2018, from 9:00AM-4:00PM.

WHERE:
Waukee Innovation and Learning Center
295 SE Ashworth Rd, Waukee, IA 50263

IowaSLI will work with schools or districts that need financial or logistical support to assist in arranging transportation for their students. If this applies to you, please contact us directly. We support carpooling and the environment; If your school or group has room on their bus or vehicle and is interested in picking up students from other schools, please contact us as well.‚Äč
