Student Voice Knows No Social Barrier

Ian, Claire, and Gianna presented to At Risk Education leaders that attended the DMACC Youth Consortium meeting in February to share about the diversity and inclusion work that IowaSLI is doing. During the presentation we also learned of the work Iowa Association of Alternative Education to include all of Iowa's student voices. Student voice is what strong school cultures are built on, and student voice knows no social barriers. The importance of one's voice does not depend on race, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, orientation, or political views.
